Miku Affection
This Event takes place in the following locations:
Sensei wakes up, hoping that either something puts him out of his misery or, at least, something interesting happens.
He receives a call and hears Miku's excited voice before he can greet her. She wants to invite him over to spend some time with her "Miku style”, but ends up jumping from topic to topic, including how her therapy is going, so he requests to actually meet up if she intends to give him a detailed update of her current status. She's surprised to hear this given everything he's going through, but when he confirms that he will come, she invites him to the park for a picnic with Io and Uta, but hangs up shortly after as one of their jokes got some unwanted attention. While dressing up, Sensei is actually excited to see Miku, feeling that sharing her light, be it in the Yasu-way or not, might help him a bit.
After appreciating the weather and arriving at the park, he receives a warm welcome from all three girls. He thanks them for their kindness and apologizes for turning into a hermit, but Miku understands this given Ami's recent behavior. Io tries to change the subject away from Ami, mentioning how some people might have weird pictures on their phone in an attempt to address a recent revelation, much to Uta's dismay. Sensei tries to avoid this discussion, but Io thinks he and Uta should talk this out now. Miku intervenes, stating that this is supposed to be a group activity so all of them should have fun together, a sentiment shared by Uta.
Miku tries to get the activities started, but Sensei has to take over shortly after due to Miku's lack of a filter and wants some updates on everyone else. Miku wonders why he thinks she could provide him with those when she barely managed to organize the picnic and even forgot about their plans for later, making him wonder why she organized one to begin with. She explains that his absence and the prospect of him staying away for much longer impacted everyone in class and she wanted to try to raise their spirits. He apologizes again for being the reason everyone feels this way, but also asks them to try and snap out of it as it makes them do unusual things, with Miku trying to organize events being a prime example.
Miku is aware of that, because she's also affected by his absence – She missed him a lot, comparing him being stuck at home to a close friend moving away, contemplated calling him almost every night and even dreamed about him a lot in different scenarios. Hearing this, Io recalls that Uta was also dreaming about him a lot, but an embarrassed Uta tries to deny it. He's surprised that Miku can admit that so openly and calmly considering that Uta is internally screaming without him having to look at her, but Miku fails to see why she should be ashamed of admitting she cares about someone and only wants to try her best to make everyone feel better, and the best way for her to do this is to organize something fun.
After the introductory part is over, Sensei tries to enjoy his time with the girls, but can't do it fully as he feels that something's off. He assumes it's due to not having spend time with them as much as he should've and how things developed during his absence. He intends to figure out what's going on with Io and Uta, but can't do it now since both have to leave for work. Now alone with Miku, he compliments her efforts, even though it failed to cheer him up. She informs him how his absence affected almost everyone, with most of them either acting weird or being sad, and she just wanted to try to get everyone's mood back to how they were at the beginning of the year. Suddenly, she notices a discrepancy between the time they've spent together and it being their first year in his class, but she ignores it just as quickly.
Instead, she wants him to follow her to the "promised land" so they can make some progress.
