Sensei, Ami, Niki and Noriko are on their way home after what transpired at the beach's inn. The car ride is very silent and awkward until Ami breaks the silence with suggesting to play Shiritori. Noriko decides to join in on what Ami is doing since that's better than just sitting in awkwardness.
They arrive home and Niki directly chooses to go to the bedroom and bars Sensei from following. Noriko, while trying to avoid the awkwardness, decides to leave too. Afterwards, Sensei asks Ami for a word in her room...
Sensei asks Ami repeatedly about why she's doing all of this, and while Ami is being sarcastic all the time, she eventually reaches the breaking point and starts yelling at Sensei.
She mentiones how she's feeling alone and suffocated. That she shouldn't be seen as the bad guy at all, since everything she has been doing is for Sensei and how she has dedicated all her life to him. She brings up her mother, how she suffered all the time during the one year prior to her death and that Sensei didn't listen to her nor help her.
Ami even goes so far as saying that she sometimes belives that Sensei would be happier if she were to disappear too. Directly after, she storms out of the room telling Sensei not to follow her. Sensei asks where she's going and Ami says that she's going somewhere where she's not a burden anymore.
Sensei stands in Ami's room for 30 minutes trying to figure out what to do, but eventually resigns himself to the fact that nothing is going to be working in his favor. He goes to lay in Ami's bed and tries to sleep but to no avail. He thinks to himself that he doesn't deserve anything of this, not even sleep.
