Synopsis

Sensei hears someone enter his room. He already knows that it’s Maya by the way she opened the door and her melon-scented shampoo. Once he opens his eyes, he sees her face and indirectly congratulates her to her birthday, making her smile in the process. She informs him that she will do that a few times today but doesn’t want him to comment on that, so he decides to keep a tally. He suddenly remembers Ami when he invites her into his bed, but she’s working today and doesn't know about Maya being here.

After he got dressed, she takes a look around his room to see what changed. She notices Io’s wardrobe, inspects his “research material” located under the mattress and sees a message on his board signed by MM, though that one wasn’t written by her. After leaving a message herself, they go to the kitchen. They have a conversation about the festival and Maya wants to be the cutest girl on the festival, because she likes being envied by everyone without repercussion. Sensei can emphasize with that, but before she can disagree, she realizes that he can and feels disgusted being reminded of this.

Maya wants to know why he let her do it and he answers that he did since he can’t predict the future. Maya uses this opportunity to get to her main concern and blatantly asks him if Ayane, or anyone else, is pregnant. Sensei doesn’t see how that is important, but Maya explains that Ayane was able to reach the rooftop because she carried his DNA trough their unborn child and, as a result, was seen as an extension of him. He points out that Ayane doesn’t show any signs of being pregnant and Maya reminds him that the reset can overwrite physical and mental anomalies and, therefore, their child was erased when it occurred.

She makes it clear that this is just a theory, but she needs to make sure that she knows about any action he does that could cause an anomaly so that no one gets erased. Sensei tells her that the possibility for a pregnancy exists, but she needs to ask Ayane if she wants to be sure. He wonders if this really is the only explanation for Ayane making it to the roof, but she can’t think of something else, especially now where everything is completely new. She also starts to feel again and doesn’t want it to go away.

Sensei struggles to believe her theory, but still feels like he needs to since he can’t think of any other reason for Ayane’s appearance. After a lot of time passes, Maya changes into her yukata and Sensei praises her cuteness, which she’s fine with for the day.
