Synopsis
As Sensei makes his way to Maya, he starts to blackout, rambling to himself until he finds her and feels normal once again. She clarifies that the only reason she wanted to speak to him was to chastise him for being so insensitive, but is stopped in her tracks when he confesses that he chooses her over a night with Noriko. He takes a seat next to her, as she admits that she didn’t just want to reprimand him, which he admits he knew.
She is still angry that he bailed on their plans yesterday, which he apologizes for, but excuses himself by saying that yesterday was weird for him, mentioning that Tsuneyo might know about the world’s resets. Maya is surprised to hear this, but remains unconvinced by what Sensei tells her; Yumi’s situation, though, she admits might be worth looking into. Maya’s surprised to find out that Sensei didn’t simply spend his time being a leecher, and actually took some time to learn more about their situation, but remains confused as to why Tsuneyo and Yumi in particular would be chosen to know.
The conversation flows onto Ayane and Maya’s cold war with each other, with Maya saying that their being suspicious of each other is inevitable given the situation. Maya views Ayane as a ‘glitch, and Ayane thinks Maya wants Sensei to herself. Sensei thinks the latter is plausible, which Maya dismisses as something she can’t confirm. Sensei surprises her by confessing himself. Maya is shocked he didn’t disappear, or that his brain didn’t fry, but is ecstatic to hear him say it. The two get closer, and Maya promises that, even if the world ends now, she’ll find him like she always does.
Just before anything happens, Touka walks in on the two of them, having been looking for Sensei so she can hand him her gift. Maya and Sensei awkwardly try to bury the situation, and Touka promises not to tell anyone before dragging Sensei away.
